HER STORY- A Life Well Planted
Celester was born June 25, 1911, and lived a life that was both gentle and mighty. She carried Psalm 34:19 in her spirit and the hymn “Come In the Room” in her bones. She could plant a stick in the ground and make it grow. Her love was healing, her laugh contagious, her prayers unshakable.
She wasn’t loud, but her presence filled every space. She had wit sharp enough to make you laugh through correction and hands gentle enough to make anything bloom—whether it was a garden bed or a broken spirit.
She believed in second chances, open doors, clean porches, and full plates. In our community, she was known not just as a neighbor, but as a comforter, a problem-solver, and someone you could count on. She didn’t just raise children—she raised character.
She never sought recognition, but her faith left fingerprints everywhere she walked. Celester didn’t just live a long life—she lived a fruitful one.
